Internet Society Ontario Chapter awarded Beyond The Net grant for the Canadian Fraud First Responder: A Certified Volunteer Training Program for Online Trust and Safety
We are pleased to announce the generous support from the ISOC Foundation for the ISOC Ontario Chapter to formulate and deliver an extensive online cybersecurity training and support system for non-profits in Canada. An initiative aimed at bolstering the cybersafety capacity in this sector and reducing the incidence of cybersecurity crimes.

Nonprofit organizations are above average in the number of cyber attacks resulting in privacy breaches, revenue losses and diminished capacity to carry out the organizations’ missions. Cyberattacks are becoming more common and more sophisticated, putting non-profits of every size at growing risk in an AI-driven landscape. Experts say many organizations underestimate their vulnerability, especially as limited budgets and staffing make the sector an attractive target for cybercriminals.
